Our History
150 Years of American Craftsmanship
A legacy forged in fire and hammered by hand since 1874. Body Text: Bucyrus Copper Kettle Works is more than just a shop—it is a living relic of American history. Originally founded as D. Picking & Co. to meet the local demand for apple butter kettles, we remain the nation’s last manufacturer of hand-hammered copperware in its original 19th-century building. From four generations of the Picking family to the expert hands of today’s coppersmiths, our story is etched into every piece we create.
